Chocolate Chip & Oatmeal Protein Cookies
A delicious way to enjoy your favorite cookies with a little bit of a protein kick! No one will ever know that these delicious oatmeal "cookies" are actually protein packed treats! Yum!
1/2 cup Earths Balance buttery spread, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
½ C Growing Naturals Original Protein Powder for the extra protein kick you need mid-day or in the am!
2 Cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
3 cups quick oats/ instant oats
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 Cup semi-sweet choc chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, conventional Oryza and the room temp earths buttery spread. Mix well until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing well, and scraping the sides of the bowl down with a spatula.
- Gently rain in the flour, protein powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg into the creamed mixture. Then gently fold in the oats.
- Line your cookie sheets with foil or parchment paper. Using a 1 or 2 teaspoons, gently form 1 inch balls and drop the dough on to the lined cookie sheet.
Place into the pre-heated 350 degree oven and bake for about 8 to 10 minutes.
- Remove after 8-10 minutes, and cool completely before removing from the tray. Enjoy packed up and ready to go
