This recipe is vegan, dairy-free, soy-free, gluten-free
Ingredients
-
2 tbsp. canned pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie mix)
-
2 tsp. chai spice mix (store bought or mix your own)
-
½ scoop Growing Naturals vanilla pea protein (adds protein and thickening /creaminess)
-
1-2 tbsp. maple syrup (or your choice sweetener)
-
12 oz. almond milk or your choice milk
-
Dollop of coconut cream (or your choice cream)
Optional Topping
Directions
Place first 4 ingredients into a small saucepan and whisk together until thoroughly mixed over medium heat.
Working slowly, pour the milk into the saucepan and continue to whisk until most clumps are gone.
Continue to stir and heat until just before a simmer.
Pour into your choice mug and optionally top with a dollop of cream. Enjoy!
Note
Can I make an iced pumpkin chai?
Absolutely. Place all ingredients into a blender and pour over ice. Alternately, place all ingredients into a glass and mix using a milk frother--then add ice.
