Rachel's 30-Day Vegan Smoothie Challenge

During my prep for my first bodybuilding competition, I was stuck eating oatmeal every morning. It paid off in the long run, but after my competition, I was ready to mix it up a bit. I wanted to add some variety and flavor into my morning, so I created a 30 day challenge for myself: create an easy, healthy smoothie recipe each morning to kick off the day. I had a lot of fun planning out the next month of recipes. There were so many options and combinations and a quick Pinterest search produced a plethora of ideas. Well, first off, it was much more refreshing to start the day with a new flavor than eating the same thing morning after morning. I love that eating clean and healthy doesn’t have to be boring! Second, I felt satisfied and energized to start the day. Smoothies never weigh me down or make me feel sluggish. And lastly, I was able to take on another grueling workout the next day with little soreness since the combination of carbs and protein ensured optimal recovery after my gym session.
