Growing Naturals - Berry Blue Smoothie Bowl

Smoothies are an easy and delicious way to pack lots of nutrients–but sometimes I do miss chewing my breakfast. I think that’s why smoothie bowls were invented–to get the best of both worlds! This vegan smoothie bowl is packed with protein and other plant-based goodies to please your tastebuds, nourish your body and kick start your day!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 a medium frozen banana
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup cherries without pits (or your choice other berry)
  • 1 cup unsweetened Original Almond milk (or your choice milk)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tbsp peanut butter (could substitute with PB2 or coconut oil)
  • 1/2 scoop  Growing Naturals vanilla pea protein
  • 1/2 scoop Growing Naturals chocolate pea protein
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon (optional)
  • Toppings (optional):
    • 1-2 tbsp your choice granola
    • 1/2 tbsp slivered almonds
    • 1/2 tbsp unsweetened, shredded coconut
    • few fresh blueberries
    • half a kiwi

Directions

Place all ingredients in the blender (adding protein powders last) and blend until smooth. Pour into a bowl and top with toppings. Enjoy!
