Whey’s Vegan Alternative: Rice and Pea Protein Combined

For many athletes, whey was the go-to recovery protein of choice for many years. But as of late plant-based eating has increased in popularity due to its environmentally-friendly and health-related benefits. Soy was the only plant-based alternative to whey at one point–but with soy allergies and GMOs being an increasing concern–rice and pea protein have emerged as better options for vegan, vegetarian or food-allergy sufferers alike.
